Photoshoots

Heres an example of how i want my photo shoots to look for my final collection, i want the images to be completely busy, full of colour, interesting groups of things(int his case the food packages behind the model) the same example of groups of things im using to print on garments and accessories for my collections. I want my clothes to stand out because they are differnt and eye catching and will be in a normal location that you see everyday and dont normally think of glamourous, like a laundrette, supermarket or fast food restaurant, but also to be almost camouflage with a busy background!!

Heres a couple of designs which i set out to send to the photograhy people as a guide of what thing im doing.

Alternative Fashion Week

Ive decided to make an one of my final collection outfits for the alternative fashion week and im going to be doing all the styling for the outfits on the day of the show, this should be good for my portfolio too as i havent got that much styling examples or photo shoots in there!
Even though my finbal collection hasnt got any black in at all, which is the theme for the fashion show, i am going to take the idea of using shapes, volume and layering of fabrics to show one side of my collection. Bringing in bright colours with acccessories, maybe a hat, necklace or a handbag.

Ive also put together a brief for the first year that will be involved in the collaborative project after easter. I am going to photocopy some parts of my sketchbooks to show exactly what im looking for and ask them to design some accessories for my collection, hats, necklaces, bags and earrings. I want everything oversized and bright.

expenses..

im really worried about how much money im going to need this year!! i need a portfolio and wallets, mounting board, money for fabrics, a new goo fineliner and colouring pens....its only little things but it all adds up!arghh!!!
oh well apart from worrying about cash, im starting my new sketchbook for my final collection looking more into the actual idea and theme and my drawings, examples of screen print and fabrics i find.
ill try and get some examples of my sketch book so far on here soon.

NEW YEAR NEW POST...

oh dear..this is my first post of this year and ive not got much to say..apart from christmas shoppers and new year hangovers and stressing about context I had good holidays..Now im still getting through context, slowly but surely. i wish it would go away now!!!!

Jeremy Scott Fashion Show.AMAZING

This fashion show is one of the best ive seen all year its so quirky ans unusual and its all taken from one simple idea.Fast food.

Presentation day

I did my presentation on the RSA project and it went better than i thought it would.I didnt think id have much to say but once i started it was ok. I did forget a few things though and i had that horrible shaky voice cos i was really worried, but apart from that it went well.. No one soiled themselves, i dont think!!haha...I feel so good like a massive weight off my mind. Now i can concentrate on the final collection proposal which im not worried about at all cos i have got loads i want to say about that!!! and i better carry on with Context cos that deadline is fastly approaching!!YAY

Twoile to Garment

Here is my process of making the jacket for my RSA project..from the origional twoile to the final thing. When i made the first twoile i had to change it on the stand, which meant i had to draw all over it and then unpick it all so i could make new patterns from it. Then i re-made it in my real fabric and im very pleased with it!!!
